Annual Essay Competition
SBCC is pleased to announce the launch of our 2020 annual essay competition.
Eligibility: under the age of 35 or over the age of 35 years engaged in full-time or part-time academic study. SBCC invites entries from all construction / legal disciplines.
Submission Date: 30 June 2020
Word Count: not greater than 3,000 words
Prize: single prize of £1,000 in each calendar year
The prize winner will be offered the opportunity to present his/her paper at SBCC’s prestigious Annual Update Conference to be held in November 2020. The winning paper will also be published online and in relevant publications.
Entrants may also be Commended.
Topic for 2020: A topic which relates to SBCC/JCT contracts or is of relevance to the work of SBCC in the Scottish construction industry. Topics could include but are not limited: contract administration; dispute resolution / avoidance; any aspect in relation to Arbitration; Adjudication; Litigation.
